A Bowie birthday weekend

Our annual Sound & Vision of David Bowie show at The Cutting Room is always a highlight, timed around Bowie’s birthday and his passing on January 10th, and 2023 was no exception. Kelly Gilroy came in from Chicago and Gina joined us for the first time, which made the night feel extra special.

Thanks to Kelly we scored front-row seats, and I found myself right in front of Gerry Leonard. We only made it to one show this time, but it was a blast: I got up and danced, and when Station to Station kicked in we slipped to the back of the room so we had space to really move.

Afterwards came the usual joy of catching up with Donny, Gail, Henry Hey and the rest of the extended Bowie family that makes these nights shine.

It’s never just about the music. It’s the connections, and the memories made along the way.
