Our annual pilgrimage to The Sound and Vision of David Bowie at The Cutting Room keeps getting better. In 2024 the two Janines and our now-close friend Kelly Vierra joined me for a full weekend of Bowie magic, with two shows that left us buzzing.

The new lighting above the stage gave the performances an extra sparkle, a fitting tribute to the starman himself. And as always, the weekend was about more than the music.

We made our home base once again at citizenM Bowery, right in Bowie’s old neighborhood. Janine S. and I carved out time for lunch and a little shopping in SoHo, and we capped it off with a trip up to the Vanderbilt observation deck, hamming it up with Manhattan as our backdrop.
